I was listening to this story done on people who are in the military and go away to places different from their homes for their rotations and doing their jobs. People who went away to WW1, WW2, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq from the US for a while. And how coming back home is so different for them. The homes they come back to stopped being their homes for a lot of them. The experience in the war zone changed them so drastically. That it is hard for them to settle down back in normal life. The problem is that people back home remember them for who they were, not who they are now. And in most of the stories we hear about, it generally does not end well.
